Summary
The role of the IT Consultant is to assist clients with their technological needs. This includes ensuring optimal and efficient use of their hardware and software technologies. You should possess extensive experience in providing IT support in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service is non-negotiable. Travel in the Chicagoland area is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide timely support to clients on a wide range of technology
- Perform regular servicing and preventive maintenance on client hardware and software
- Prepare and maintain inventory of client technology and other equipment
- Advise clients of relevant technology, including hardware and software upgrades, to meet their needs
- Advise clients of best practices for their technology
- Provide training to end-users on hardware functionality and software programs
- Create systems and processes to automate tasks
- Maintain databases and ensure system security
- Keep track of technological advancements and trends in IT support
- Prepare and maintain records of work completed
- Perform other appropriate duties
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience working in an IT support or software development environment
- Relevant IT certification or degree or equivalent experience
- In-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software, especially in educational settings, including Windows, Mac, ChromeOS, iOS, and Android
- Familiarity with various forms of non-computer technology including printers, interactive whiteboards, network equipment, marquees, and other display equipment
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (preferred)
- Knowledge of databases and system security (preferred)
- Excel and spreadsheet skills (preferred)
- Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries
- Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Patience and the ability to work with people at all levels
- Resourcefulness with very strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support

Summary
The role of the A/V Technician is to assist clients with their audiovisual needs. This includes installing, setting up, operating, and repairing the equipment. You'll identify the requirements for a given task or situation and perform the appropriate actions to produce the sound and/or video. Travel in the Chicagoland area is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate client sound equipment including speakers, monitors, mics and other input devices, mixing boards, and cabling
- Prepare and operate client video equipment including video cameras, lighting, and display panels
- Set up and use audio and video editing software
- Assist clients with recording, mixing, and streaming content
- Evaluate sound levels and quality of client audio projects
- Install equipment and software upgrades
- Recommend equipment and software upgrades when necessary
- Train clients on using equipment
- Assess A/V equipment capabilities and health
- Repair A/V equipment
- Perform other appropriate duties
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in an audio management role
- Advanced knowledge of sound and recording equipment
- Strong, balanced hearing ability and a strong ear for sound variants
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills
- A vehicle for travel
- Light carpentry skills (preferred)
